Hi, my name is Paul Payette:
I’m the Student Ministries Leader at New Life Assembly in Summersville,
West Virginia. Welcome to our Student Ministries web page.
Our Student Ministries at New Life Assembly serves Junior High and High
School students. We hope you’ll learn enough about us here to
spark interest in coming to our weekly Wednesday Night Meetings at our
Student Ministries facility located at New Life Christian Academy, 899
Broad Street, Summersville, WV, 26651.
I’ve been involved in student
ministry for over twelve years, serving as a Youth Leader, Youth
Ministries Leader, and Youth Pastor. I’ve been called to youth ministry
and have thoroughly enjoyed leading Jr. High School and High School
Students to a life-changing encounter with God, and a resulting
understanding of who they are in Christ.
I first got involved in
student ministries while attending a medium-sized church in Manhattan
Beach, California, where I served as a youth leader for over five years
before moving to upstate New York in early 2001.
Shortly after settling in
upstate New York, I got involved in the student ministries program at
our local church, serving as a student ministries leader. After
about two years in this capacity, I was called upon to serve as the
church’s Student Ministries Leader for approximately three years.
In late 2006, I moved to Summersville, West Virginia.
About a year after arriving in
Summersville, I was blessed to launch New Life Assembly’s Student
Ministries program for Junior High and High School students. I
currently serve as New Life Assembly’s Student Ministries Leader, with
responsibility for teaching, pastoring, mentoring, and discipling
students. I also oversee the development and administration of
Junior High and High School student ministries at New Life Assembly.
In the years that I have been
blessed to be involved, Student Ministries has been a challenging joy,
blessing, and reward! Leading students to authentically and
personally encounter their Creator and Savior continues to be a
privilege beyond words, comprehension, and understanding. When
students finally and earnestly encounter God, their lives – and the
lives of those around them - are changed eternally. It’s amazing
to have an opportunity to be a part of that process. We call the
student ministry at New Life Assembly “Encounter” for this very reason!
Please check the links for
student ministries photos, a current schedule of events, and our
regularly-updated prayer list.
I hope that you’ll stop by the
Student Ministries Center at New Life Christian Academy: We’re
there every Wednesday night @ 7:00 PM for our gathering. I look
forward to seeing you there!
In Him,
----Paul
